G87 M2 vs. G80 M3

Surely this video will get some negative feedback from the G80 guys but this is my personal opinion, since I own both cars.

Let me know if you agree.

3 Reasons To Buy The G87 M2 Over The G80 M3 (OWNERS PERSPECTIVE)

Yep, agree with pretty much all of this.

The G87 is, IMO, underpriced. No luxury car is a "steal," of course. But when you start comparing it to other cars, it's REALLY hard to find something that delivers so much bang for buck.

If nothing else, the S58 and the G8x suspension alone make this a good deal at < $65K.

And yes, I'm going to mention the CT4-V BW again because it's actually competitive on price AND features. I still like the G87 better, but IMO CT4-V BW is as close as you can get.

(Adjusted for inflation, the G87 costs less than my non-M E90, lol.)

I honestly can't believe what a "steal" this car is at MSRP (or less if you're lucky).

Nice video man. But... these cars have the same powertrain, drivetrain, overall chassis design & suspension components. They even have the same seat & rolling stock. So... it simply depends if you want a larger 4 door to suite a family or the sexiness of a more sporty 2 door coupe to visually suite your taste & the abnormal G80 grill isn't your cup of tea!

m2 vs m3

I personally have a g80 on order and just came back from BI. I have been going back and fourth with my decision.

Seems dealers are sitting on M2's and cant sell. Discounts like 8-10% are attractive.

But theres still something about the m3 i cant get over. Its size and overall shape, except for the front grille is amazing.

I think the M2 makes sense if you plan to mod the car with one of the available body kits , either vorsteiner or alpha n

I don't consider the M2, or really M3 luxury vehicles. I do consider the M2 probably one of the best bang for the buck performance coupes. A 1LT Corvette Stingray is arguably the best, but GM got Porsche stupid with their option prices with the 8th gen. And at the end of the day it's still cheap Chevy interior quality but for a hell of a lot more $. 3LT is now $11k on the Stingray & the same pkg is $14k on the Z06, just because they can. It still includes the same components, most of which should be standard at that price point.

The interior of the M2 is nice & well-equipped, but it's not luxury. M3 has nicer optional materials, but I honestly find the seats in my M2 more comfortable than the full merino leather seats in my wife's X3MC. Performance-wise, imo the M3 isn't worth the extra $, thus why I chose the M2.

I have had both a G80 RWD and a G82 Xdrive. I think these two cars New are about the most fun you can have for the money imo.

Agree with the guy in the video. I definitely prefer the smaller size.
