hi yes the part no is the same, they are sold singulary btw, my mechanic said it was dead simple but he used a couple of spots of copper grease to hold it in place as it was going to fall off putting the brake disc back on

Update -- I got the car back. Unfortunately the noise is still there even after installing the friction rings. They attributed the noise to the VS-5RS wheels.

I found a 2021 BMW exploded diagram (ebay listing for the friction ring) that indicates the ring is installed between the brake disc and the wheel, is that where your friction rings were installed?
