hi yes the part no is the same, they are sold singulary btw, my mechanic said it was dead simple but he used a couple of spots of copper grease to hold it in place as it was going to fall off putting the brake disc back on

I found a 2021 BMW exploded diagram (ebay listing for the friction ring) that indicates the ring is installed between the brake disc and the wheel, is that where your friction rings were installed?

no the instructions were between the brake rotor and the hub

So the latest news is I have put 5mm spaces on and it's gone again but I'll await some time before I say it's gone completely!
