Just get the buckets, zero downside, literally all upside, and you sound like you like to analyze things, you'll get a major case of FOMO if you don't get them and see a car with them, then the process starts all over again, to try to justify buying a different G87. i didn’t order my m2 and if i had a choice i would of went with carbon buckets. i had a g80 with carbon buckets for a month and they are really comfy. just getting in and out is pain. I am pretty fit and a slim. if you are non of the above i would question the buckets. the standard seats provide enough support and the buckets just look better.

Jk jk. But really it's my goal to lose 30 pounds and I'm down 8 in the last few weeks. I'm hoping to get my car March-May. So I think I can meet that goal and fit in the seats lol
