Hey guys Michelin makes a BMW Star rated

tires in 275/35/19 and 295/30/20 with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. I actually liked the Pilot Super Sport better than the 4S. Anyone tried these? I would really like to move onto a 295/30/20 out back. Those 285s are just stretched to an inch of their life.

Not familiar with that Michelin tire but I do have a 295/30/20 on the rear. I have the Conti DWS 06+ in that size. I had them on the stock 20 x 10.5 and they fit and looked great. I now have them on my 20 x 11 that fit fine. When I go to replace them I'll either stick with the 295 or maybe move to the 305 on the wider wheel.

I found my PSSs sidewalls incredibly soft. Lost a lot of turn-in and feel / feedback from them. Hella grip, but big step down in feel and response time.

I thought the PSS have a better sidewall than the 4S.

My 2023 M2 came with Front: P275/35R19, rear: P285/30R20; Michelin tires. High performance tires and not all season/run flats.

They are good tires. Not my first Michelin tires. I have used them on a couple of other cars. Ran Pirelli and Michelin tires on my Boxster and about half the 317K miles I put on that car I had Michelin tires on it. It came with Pirelli tires. But there were Michelin tires spec'd for use on the car as well. And at some point when Pirelli tires were in short supply thankfully Michelin tires were available and at a good price.

Too early with my M2 to know what kind of tire life I'll get but so far tire wear seems reasonable. I'm at almost 10K miles. No tracking. And really no hooning around either. Roads here, traffic here is just not conducive to well, hooning. But I have had the car out on some interesting roads and the tires are very good.

Too lazy to get up and dig up the last CBS service and the tire tread depth numbers but they were not scary.

I'm guessing I'll get 30K miles out of the tires. Rear tires. The fronts even more miles. But since the M2 is my only car and could get driven in the rain I won't run the tires down to the wear bars.
