BMW logistics is a mystery.
I think you’re referring to me 😀. Yup car is at the PCD and I have delivery scheduled for October 3rd

Yes you LOL....

I have no idea what's going on, it's a mystery why our cars don't get truck to PCD together, even though I'm a 25.
You are lucky to get 10/3... I would want 10/4 since kids are off from school for me.... but that's out the window now.

Enjoy your time at PCD, I did it this past March for X3 M40i, had an awesome time.

Very nice! My 230I went in the Q a little more than a week ago. I was getting that "build update" page on the BMW USA site, but for the last 3 days I get an error msg telling me to try again later. It looks like you are having no problems accessing " My Garage" on that site. I contacted BMW support and received a response that they are working on "known problems" with the site.

But they did tell me that my production date is Sept 30! Hopefully, I can now follow it on the My BMW phone app. If the Production Date is really 9/30, I should see the " exterior body assembly step" any time now.

The Garage being down isn't the end of the world but it's a bit frustrating. I'm not sure who's running their tech department but this should have been resolved within an hour of it becoming an issue by rolling back to an earlier release.

It gives me the vibe that BMW's whole website is run by a guy named Frank who's an independent contractor they hired off TopTal and is currently on vacation somewhere in the Carribean and he'll get to it when he gets back

Ok, at least now I know it isn't just me. The My garage page went down for me soon after I had used the F12 'trick', so I thought that may have done something to impact future access. And I do agree that it's surprising the fix has taken this long, given the popularity of this page for new car buyers to follow their build. At least , I'm hoping that the phone app is timely in tracking the progress.

The phone app is pretty good, but not great. It'll miss updates and suddenly you'll jump forward a bunch of steps. I thought I had missed the last boat coming to the west coast because nothing updated for a week and found out after it landed and had been scheduled for shop that it was here. Not a surprise I'm complaining about tho! Best bet is any time you're feeling ansy, call Genius and they'll be able to give you more info.

Oh, wow! Reading some of the recent replies and finding out I'm not the only one dealing with how intermittent their website is and the app skipping updates, like what happened today... whew! Anyway, here's the latest for me.

August 30th, 2024: Placed an order with my local BMW dealership.
August 30th, 2024: Production number assigned and scheduled for production.
September 12th, 2024: Production begins and VIN assigned.
September 26th, 2024: Exterior body assembly begins.
September 26th, 2024: In the paint shop.
September 26th, 2024: Entering assembly line.

So, if the longshoreman strike happens on Tuesday are all of us with cars currently on ships headed for east coast SOL until it gets resolved. Do they turn around, head to Panama and deliver on west coast? Do they go back to Mexico and go by train?

Glovis Challenge on its way to Brunswick and then I assume on to Baltimore. October 7th is ETA for Brunswick. Hopefully this strike ends in the next couple days or it might be sitting their awhile. One article I read said a 5 day strike would take one to two months for ports to work through the backlog, a three weeks strike would take into 2025.

My order is in the Final assembly step the last few days. Not yet ready for transport. Ordered first day after it went up on configurator.

I got the tire & cooling package. I hope it gets the skid plate update which eliminates exposure. I saw pics of it on the 2025 M340i thread and a reply from someone in UK who said the 25 M240i gets the same part.

Excited that your car is coming before mine so you can tell us! haha.

I'll be working on a protection option that isnt so ridiculously priced as the skid plate available if it is needed once I get the car.

Mine is at the same stage. Am wondering if BMW even puts them on a ship until the strike is settled.

Can I ask where exactly you see the dates for schedule to be built? I have looked high and low in the phone app and on the browser and I cannot seem to see that information anywhere. My car is at the "production begins" step.

Thanks, I reached out and learned that they actually ordered my car the day that I finalized the terms and color (before I placed the deposit) talk about service.

The car went into production immediately on 9/26 and is scheduled to be complete by 10/10.

So I was told that my car was on Glovis Challenge and that it would be in Baltimore Oct 9. Glovis Challenge just left Brunswick and is now heading back to Jacksonville? Very confused so will be checking with genius tomorrow to see if they know where my car actually is now?
