G87 - Stock DP's, AA non-res MP's, and Eisenmann axleback - [chef's kiss]
Finished my exhaust setup yesterday after waiting forever for the Eisenmann back section to arrive.
Pretty straightforward - 1. Stock DP's; 2. AA non-resonated single MP; and 3. Eisenmann axleback with black tips. Love it. The tone after replacing the back section is much, much smoother and deeper. All tinny'ness is now gone. And this may be hard to believe given how much smaller the Eisenmann is, but it's actually quieter in the cabin versus with the stock muffler. I think by deepening the tone overall, it's cut out a lot of the nasty mid-tones the stock muffler puts out, so it doesn't filter into the cabin as much. I thought I had the valves closed for a bit while driving around, but once I opened up the windows, it quickly became apparent what was going on. Video (total amateur hour by the way) shows a cold start for both stock and Eisenmann axlebacks, valves open and closed, in Sport or Sport+, and a few revs. |
