Both tie rods replaced @ 2,000 km
So I was hearing a knocking sound from the front suspension every time the car goes over small road bumps shortly after collecting my car... It wasn't bad at all and I wasn't even sure if it were a real issue.
Anyway I decided to wait until the break-in service. The service advisor told me that both tie rods needed replacement... I'm not sure if they were bad to begin with or if I hit a pothole bad enough to screw up my tie rods... is that even possible? Anyway these things shouldn't fail before 70k-100k km as far as I understand. The dealer did replace them for free. Is this a common issue with G8X M cars? Should I be worried about something else? |
