Software update

Help!
Just picked up my car yesterday. My software update from July just finished. And now my break in service counter is not right. Anyone else have this happen or a link to a thread discussion? TIA
Am I screwed ?

I figured they will always use the odometer reading - just wanted to double check though. And I do recall there being another post, but of course, I couldn’t find it.
