Back box or res delete?
Hey so I believe the UK car has a single resonator.
We also have lots of OPF/GPF in the car which reduces exhaust noise. I want to increase the volume slightly of my exhaust but keep the tone and general sound as OEM as possible. Just want it a bit louder. A friend recommended a back box modification which I believe just cuts out the fibres from the back box. But I’m also curious about a res delete. Pros and cons of both? What would you recommend? do not want lots of extra pops and bangs. |

I have the PCW backbox mod (I couldn't tell you what he does) but I love it, absolutely perfect for me. I can't tell from stock in comfort and cruising but with the valves open, it's much meatier. Cold start is a chunk louder but not obnoxious. Bit more rumble on overrun but I wouldn't say extra pops or bangs.

I just did a 900+ round trip all motorway in combo of eco and comfort, indiscernable to me any different from stock, certainly not droney.
Finally got a cold start clip https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAqDO_pqkml/
