Charcoal filter delete question
For those of you who have done a charcoal filter delete on a G87, did you pinch the filters and pull them through the plastic frame (ideal) or dremel the plastic welds and disconnect the entire plastic frame?
Thanks! |

I guess you could leave the frame and pull the filter only but i'd remove it all personally.

I bought MAD’s CAI system. Solves this issue and the stock boxes and charcoal filters can go right back on the car, unmolested, if/when you sell the car.

If I lived in AZ, I’d think about the front mounts too. I don’t. It’s filthy here, all the time. I’d be cleaning/replacing front mount exposed filters non-stop.

For posterity, I did the charcoal delete yesterday, along with installing BMC air filters. You can just pull the charcoal filters out through the plastic frame, it takes 10 seconds.
