2004 745Li dme and cas sync help!!!!
I have a 2004 745 Li from everything I’ve been told I need to sync the dme and cas. Can anyone point me in the right direction to start that process? What kind of scan tool do I need to buy?

You need BMW Tool32. It's out there, but you'll have to hunt around to find a good working copy. If you've never done any coding on your E66 you will be much better off finding someone to do it for you, either on site or remotely - it's very easy to brick a module if you don't know what you're doing. Did you replace the DME or CAS or both?

Ok so it’s my husbands car. He’s pretty much set it to the side because he’s so busy when he has had time to look into it, it is frustrating. With that being said I am the one that does anything with it. I’m not an expert mechanic but I’m not dumb either if you know what I mean. He bought the car and it ran fine. Then the alternator went out and we parked it for a little bit and replaced the alternator. Ever since we parked it it will turn over but not crank and throws the code 2737. So we bought a new key from the bmw dealership because we where told that the old key had possibly unsynced and that could be the issue so we replaced it. It’s still doing the same thing so I’m trying to work my way down the list to fix the issue. Someone mentioned to me about the dme and cas sync. I also know I need to purchase the right scan tool which is where I am now. If you have an helpful insight? Thanks in advance

I'd have the car moved to a competent BMW mechanic and let them repair it for you. Good luck with the car.
