I'm not convinced it's the JB4 as it's been fine. I'm also not convinced it's the gas since the codes are for low fuel rail pressure. Don't think bad gas would cause a low pressure code? |

It seems if I let the car sit for 10-15 minutes it will start and idle fine for about 10-20 seconds, then will sputter and die. If I then attempt to start it again it will die instantly. I'll see if I can get a quick log of the fuel rail pressure while it's running the brief time it will run before it dies. |

Try 4 or 5. Those are absolute target maps. |

I don't even know if this issue is caused by the JB4. At this point I'm just trying to find out what happened and if there have been known instances of bad HPFP or LPFP on the S58 at low mileage. |

This is a result of the additive map on the JB4. I'm not making this up, you can give them a call. Additive maps are not safe for G8x cars as per BMS. Maps 1 and 2 are additive. You're supposed to use map 4 or 5. Did you ever log the car on map 2 and send it to BMS? They would have told you don't run that map. |

It's interesting that they told you to run absolute and everything I see on their forum and my research shows it should be map 2. I'm not saying you are giving false info, in fact I find it interesting and will follow up with them. In the meantime I'm about to post an update that the issue appears to be the fuel pressure harness on the JB4. |

UPDATE: Disconnected the JB4 fuel pressure harness and connected the OEM harness. Car starts and idles as it should. I let it idle until the oil was up to temp and no issues. Plugged the JB4 harness back in to the sensor and car would not start. Finally started and sputtered and died just like yesterday. I have an email out to Burger Motorsports and waiting for a reply

This is why I hated JB4 and my experience with it over a 6 month period. Publicly they say B58 gen 2 and S58 cars (g chassis) should only run absolute target maps which are 4 and 5, yet they're telling you directly you're safe on map 2. My G42 never ran right on JB4. I did many many logs, and eventually would just run map 1 maybe once a month for some pulls. Never could run faster than an 11.1@118 in my M240 on JB4. I hope you get this figured out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. |

Definitely glad to hear you are on your way to a fix, if nothing else removing the JB4.

Imagine if the first step before posting in the forum was to remove the JB4 to see if that was the issue. Just an observation.

Interested to hear the outcome here. I have previously run JB+, JB3, and JB4 on various cars without even a hiccup. Was considering for the new M2 but will monitor this thread closely before considering.
Best of luck to you OP. |

Thank you. BMS is sending me a chipset in the mail for the fuel pressure harness. Will report back.

Ooh aren't we a bit testy. Small penis? Mommy didn't love you enough? Daddy loved you a bit too much? Tell us where everyone hurt you without telling us everyone hurt you. Like I said it was just an observation. Talk about a keyboard warrior. To know thyself is wisdom beyond measure. Anywho... what you're telling us now is, you could have had it towed home, removed the JB4 and had your answer. No one in the forum did. Except the folks that told you to remove the JB4 & see if you still had the problem. ![]()

What I'm originally commented about was the entire thread could've been avoided if he did that in the first place instead of the panicky "please help!!!" thread.
In the end, his mod was the issue. I never told him to fix it on the side of the road, either. All I said was "hey if you had done that before posting, this thread could've been avoided. Was a tongue in cheek observation.
