Eh - just makes people worse parkers. The M2 is a small car, totally unnecessary.

If you have been to Bangkok, it would be useful.

Luddites will bash it, I'm sure. The 360 on my other car is pretty helpful for tight spaces. Having it as an option would be nice on the M2. If you don't like it, don't use it.

Ditto, it’s another useful tool.

There’s so much going on in traffic and parking lots……..you never know.

I dunno…. I’ve had mine almost a year and I swear I have trouble parking straight AND I ended up 4 feet from the curb bc I don’t want to hit it! The M240 has 360 camera it is one of my biggest gripes with the car. I just don’t understand why it wasn’t standard considering they are made in the same factory and the M2 costs more.

I think you're illustrating my point. You should be able to park effectively using your mirrors. People rely on technology to allow them to do things they should develop the skills to do. I don't recall driving down the street and seeing cars just strewn about on the side before backup and 360 cameras in cars were available. Somehow most of us managed to park between the lines & some of us learned the proper to way to parallel park too. Crazy isn't it.

I will say watching people try to park in parking lots using their cameras makes for some good entertainment though. They almost never get it right the first, second, or sometimes third attempts.

This is so right. I have 360 cameras in all my cars - the only one I use is the reversing camera. Mirrors are more effective and accurate than relying on the side view cameras in my opinion. I have an M2 on order to replace my M4 and the loss of the 360 view is not an issue at all from my point of view.

Garage List
2025 G87 M2  [9.83]
Oh no! I was going to trade in my g80 m3 comp for a m2. But lack of 360 camera is a deal breaker for me. I have a tight garage and front camera is a must for me.

What a let down. Ugh. I was so excited to get an M2 too.

Like a glove first time, every time without a 360 camera. Side mirrors work wonderfully if you know how to adjust them properly (that's a whole different soapbox rant). It's like my college students who can't do simple math without whipping out their calculator. Hey Jim, 4x15 quick, "uh, hold on..." It's been shown repeatedly the more technology in vehicle, the less attentive & worse driver's get. Oh well. :

Yes, should be able to position consistently without cameras with a couple of centimetres clearance to the mirror:
