Hey there, was curious what the consensus is on tires
size for this car on track use. I know about the different brands.
but curious tire sizes and wheel sizes. Thanks!

There are more tire options if you use 19" wheels but an 18" wheel combo will be a few pounds lighter all other things being equal.
As far as width, I fit 295s with zero rubbing. I could fit 305s up front with a 5 mm spacer.

For me 19 square gives me a lot of tire choices, ability to rotate tires, ample clearance between calipers, and a decent amount of sidewall to keep handling sharp while not risking an easy blow-out at a berm. The car appreciates more rear grip but if you enjoy rotating a car through a turn with your right foot, a square setup is more engaging.

Keep in mind the 18s generally have better heat dissipation due to thicker sidewalls.
I'm considering a square set of 18s because both RE71Rs and A052 come in 295 35 18.

I roasted my 4 v601 tires yesterday in a drift day and replaced them with RE71RS today.

275/35/19 (same as OEM) on 19x10 rim (same as OEM but w/12mm more offset). The RE71RS tire profile/shape on the 19x10 looks great to me.

Any rubbing? When locked? I’m guessing you have camber plates added?

Hey guys I’m also looking into the best wheel and tire sizes for track. My concern is with xdrive cars I understand there is some 1% rolling diameter difference rule otherwise you screw the xdrive up. I don’t really understand it and would appreciate some examples of what I can and can’t do.

Was thinking 18 inch wheels and Nakang AR1s not sure on width and profile

It depends on the tire size you want.

There are a ton of 275-295 size tires in 18 but getting into the 305+ sizes get a bit tough.

Ironically the 305/30/19 SuperCar3R are cheaper than 295/30/18 so

Hey Leggo, could you elaborate on what you have done to your car to run 19x11 square? Do you have camber plates? Lowering springs? HAS?
I'm stuck between purchasing square 19x10.5 and 19x11 VS-5RS.

Sure thing. I kept it simple for now
Millway camber plates
Eibach springs
15mm front spacer (gets you about 4mm clearance from tire sidewall to factory strut), 12mm rear (not really needed )
Front camber -3.4, 0 toe
Rear camber -2.2, slight toe in

It’s a rather beefy setup and JUST clears everything.

The Goodyear is likely the widest of the 305 tires , so others would allow even better clearance and could step the front spacer down to a 12mm. If you run the Titan wheels from PHD you may not have to mess around with spacers

Not if you torque them correctly. I have them on 3 cars right now without issue
