Door inside window seals - white marks.
Every BMW including my M2 I owned, seems to have the same weird issue, the material on the inside of the door window rubber seals, especially just behind the door pin always go white (it looks like where they get wet, mould forms.) Does anyone know of product that will prevent this from happening. I've tried Meguiars, Autoglym, vinegar and nothing seems to stop it from forming.

If so, I know exactly what you're talking about. It's incredibly frustrating when something gets into that material. It seemingly takes weeks/months for me to be able to get that cleaned out so my window doesn't end up getting marked up. Even still, it's inevitable that after rolling down a window, you'll end up with a line from the junk that's collected inside of that material over time. I'd be very interested in trying to find a solve here. So far I've tried a few things on my prior G42 and G87.
I don't know what else to do. It just sucks when my car is clean and I want to roll the window down, I know as soon as I do that line will reappear. While typing this out I had a thought. Maybe it's a wax or a sealant that's inside that material and it needs to be removed with a decontamination soap of some kind? I dont know, but definitely interested in exploring this though exercise. I can't stand that stupid line on the windows and I'd really love to never see if on my next G87. |

I have 34k mi on a '22 X3MC, 13,500 mi on my '23 M2, and had 31k mi on a '22 330e when I traded it in. Didn't/don't have this issue on any of them :

Wish i could share, but unfortunately i sold the G42 and the G87 was totaled in a flood. Hopefully OP can share.
If you can imaging rolling your window half way down and when you roll it back up there is a line where it was rolled down to, that's what we're talking about. |
