Silicon Valley PPF - recommendations?

Hi All,
I'm new to the South Bay area and I will get my M2 in a few weeks. Because I hope to drive this car daily, and live in an apartment complex where I won't have access to easy DIY washing, I am thinking of getting a full PPF wrap. Does anyone have any recommendations or good experiences with PPF shops in the area?

Before I moved, I used to wrap and ceramic coat my cars myself, but I don't have the time or the space to do it here. I've done some searching and found a few mentions, but figured I could get the latest answers all in one spot! THANKS!!

Dynamic Detailing down by SJC are great- they are near to the Costco and TikTok HQ. I've used them for PPF and to get tints on my G87 recently. They have also done work for friends and family who have always been impressed.

Their set up is really great. Ask for Daniel (co-owner) and tell him the guy who had the G87 damaged by Stevens Creek (long story) recommended you!

My friend got his 981 Cayman PPFed and tinted at this place in Dublin called Supreme Auto Film. He gave me a very reasonable quote when I asked him about the M2 as well.

If you want it done right by a shop that consistently delivers & was recognized + written up in a local add by Porsche, I would check out Double Take Auto Spa in Fremont. Tell Sandra Kevin with all the X3 M's sent you.

Give MUM Sports in Fremont a call. They offer very reasonable pricing, and give very nice discounts when paired with tints and ceramic coat! They were also very happy to address any concerns I had.

TheSiege Who did you end up going with and how much did they charge?

My car should be coming in this weekend. I just made an appointment with Supreme Auto Films for next week - Was quoted $2.5k for full front PPF (Suntek) and all 4 windows tint (3M)

Thanks to all for the recommendations!!
My car wont come for another week, so I have yet to choose.

I have called all of the above shops, and a number of others found via reviews and Google. $1700-$2600 seems to be the range for a front (the lower end being done with a pre-cut kit). Full car ranges from $4500 (using some pre-cut parts), all the way to $8k!

I see myself going with full wrap a well-reviewed shop in the $5-6k range - I will let you know who I pick once I make some visits. Having done this a few times already (and installed my own full wraps in the past too), I can't imagine the "higher end" ones being so much "better" as to justify the price.

My next debate is if I should try a protective windshield wrap. I've read a number of posts/forums (especially Bronco/Jeep ones) for reviews.... some say it's worth it and good quality, others make me think the product is not quite ready for primetime. For $500 (the cost of a new windshield via insurance?), it might be worth a shot?

More to come...

TheSiege Looking forward to seeing who you select too. I've also done my homework pretty extensively & researched lots of shops in the bay area before I handed them the keys to my fine ride.

Just wanted to update this thread - I got full front PPF (full front bumper, hood, fenders, side mirrors, headlights, door cups, door edge guards and rear bumper cargo strip) and 25% tint on all windows from Supreme Auto Film in Pleasanton. Tommy was awesome to work with - definitely knows his stuff and he's very professional.

He used Suntek PPF and 3M Ceramic IR tint. I'm extremely happy with both the quality of the product as well as the installation. Hopefully it holds up well over time.

It ran me $2.5k for everything, which I think is a very reasonable price. He actually installed the Zunsport front grille and oil cooler grille for me, which was very nice of him!

An update on my research, and thanks to everyone who chimed in with ideas.
I contacted about 10 different shops and got full car quotes from $4500 to $8500.
My editorial: I've wrapped numerous cars before (both paying someone and DIYing it) and can comfortably say that if you go with one of these higher priced options on an M2 you are seriously overpaying. Yes, the front bumper is a PITA and takes a lot of time, but the rest isn't that hard, and it's not that big. Installer skill/care and experience matters, but the products are essentially the same.

After narrowing it down to shops with STEK or Xpel in the middle of the price range, searching through many reviews on yelp/google/forums, visiting 3 shops, and stalking Instagrams, I decided to go with Just PPF It in Santa Clara. They install STEK. The owner, Mike, is great and seems to take his quality and service seriously. Additionally, I am going to try out a protective windshield film and he seemed most experienced and upfront about that process.
I should get the car back in a few days and I will post photos and a review.

The owner's name is Matt not Mike (bit I knew what you meant to say) & I wonder how long he has been in business. That's also something I like to pay close attention to when gathering pre work details from various places. At the end of the day, as long as your happy & feel like you got a fair price for quality work, that's all that matters.

You are correct, Matt it is! I think he's had this business for 4 years and before that worked in other shops for a while.

I got the car back yesterday and my initial impression is that he did a great job. I will let it settle for a few weeks and bring it back for touch ups or adjustments as needed (included as part of his process). Once I get some time I will post pictures here. His work on the bumpers is impressive- all done with 1 sheet and minimal seams.

When I did my pick up there was a Brooklyn Gray wrapped in matte PPF at the shop, maybe someone from this forum, looked nice!
