Tire Options

Hi All

I just ordered a 25 M240ix with 19" 893M wheels and High-performance Non Run-flat Tires.

My CA is advising me to either get new tires or new wheels AND tires for a winter/summer setup because the high performance non run flats are not rated for cold weather.

Can anyone suggest either winter tires that will fit the 893M or wheel and tire packages that will fit the ZTK package?

Sorry if this has been answered, new here.

I have an M240ix with ZTK.

I ordered sprint line forged APEX VS-5RS as my main wheels and use the 893M as the winter wheels with the very light but incredibly competent Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus mounted.

In the DC metro area we don't really get much snow, but in light snow and rain the DWS06 Plus is great.

I had the prior version of the ExtremeContact DWS on another car and wasn't impressed, but the newer version has stiffer sidewalls and much better handling characteristics.

Machined wheels are nerver recommended in winter because of the salt make them degrade fast compared to fully painted wheels.

I was planning to run them too in winter but several people recommended me not.

I decided to order some winter wheels

Braelin BR14 in 19X8.5 front and 9.5 rear and will run in non-ztk tire sizes Michelin xIce snow. (225 and 255)

I'm putting my all season slash winter tires on the ztk wheels at delivery. Putting the ps4s on new wheels for summer.
