Stock valve and ASD

I have the IRL valve controller installed. This replaces the stock valve motor and leaves the stock valve cable unplugged. I'm wondering if unplugging the factory valve cable disables ASD. Also not sure if that even affects ASD at all. Anyone knows?

think you got something confused. a valve controller intercepts the factory valve wiring and overruns the factory controls. the factory wire should be pigged into one end of the valve controller. i don’t know much about the irl but they all work the same. ASD will be on no matter what until you code it out

i coded my out over the weekend and made a huge difference

The IRL valve controller is different. It comes with 2 new valve motors and replaces the stock ones. Then the valve controller is plugged directly into the valve motor. This leaves the factory valve wire is unplugged. Now the computer doesn't know if the valve is open or not, hence my question on ASD.

Not familiar with this controller, but im not sure why they made it so complicated.

either way, i dont think the valve controller unless plugged to an OBD will affect the ASD

looks like a similar design to Valvetronic and has a full module that you need to power up.

really don’t know the answer but from my own personal experience it almost feels like there is a mic in the back. when i installed my aftermarket exhaust it sounded louder with the new tone inside the cabin. could be just placebo
