Hello All,
First post here, just got my G87 and I’m loving the car and all the insight on the forum. I noticed my car has a plastic grate over the front grills. There was a ‘24 at the dealership (pictures of both below…hopefully), that still has the naked grill. I haven’t seen this discussed here, but thought it was a worthwhile addition to the car.

The manual G87s have a plastic grill in front of the heat exhanger, automatic vehicles just have exposed aluminium. I believe that is the case for previous model years as well.

Yep my 2024 manual has the same plastic protection vs the autos having none at all. Still perplexed why they did that overall though.

Plastic grilles don’t seem to offer much protection, I’d defo look at getting some aftermarket protection in place, and consider something for the oil cooler as well.
