G42 m240i BMS Intake + Oil Catch Can

Looking into buying a BMS intake and oil catch can for my m240, but Im seeing a lot of mixed reviews online, What are your guys opinions on a catch can for the B58, planning on keeping this car for the long run so looking to keep it reliable.

Also spoke with my dealer and they said that both of these won't void any warranty. Just want to make sure if anyone else is in the same boat.

Also thinking to eventually do a JB4 tune as well. Anyone have any issues with reliability so far?

Let me know would appreciate it.

IMO this is not necessary. Just use a ordinary catch can should be fine.

That is an ordinary catch can.

I feel on the b58 gen2 they aren’t necessary.

I just took off my MST turbo inlet and there was a little bit of oil on the inside after 1 year. It actually lost its grip on the turbo and a bit of oil seeped to the outside of the inlet.

You’re right. Somehow my brain was thinking about a pan. Yeah I agree it’s not necessary.

Regarding the BMS intake: I have it and love it. Turbo sounds are great! Not overbearing, but definitely fun. I noticed a ~5% improvement in turbo lag / low end acceleration with the additional breathability over stock.

I really like mine as well.

Very well made. Great fitment. Re-uses the factory heat shield. Air filter is high quality. I also like the acrylic filter viewing port.

I've noticed it seems to pull harder up top as well. Freeway driving seems improved.
