9.50 1/4miles Stock Turbo Di Record Reset
Went out last week end to reset the record for stock turbo stock fuel system G87 M2
Last record was a 9.512 @ 143mph, just beat it with a 9.504 @ 144.16mph, it is so close but hey! Mods -> @protuningfreaks Custom E38 CedarPerformance @xhpflashtool Stage3 @vrsf Downpipe @unixperformance Midpipe @superspeedwheel 18” X @mickeythompsontires MT Street SS 305/40R18 @burger_tuning Drop in filter Weight reduction -> - Pass and rear seats removed - Racing seat - Front Engine brace and engine cover removed - 190lbs driver It’s crazy what thoses car can do with minimal mods and a tune. Will go back out in April, with some new drag race thing to go after G8X Di record which is a 9.33 @ 146 https://youtube.com/shorts/OVhemFMBc...h2mXjhK-NOiIif |

Really impressive. Great driving.
Before my car got flooded out we were finally getting it dialed in. I managed an 11.2@138 with a 2.24 60'. That kind of MPH should have been a low 9. The 60' is such a challenge. Would have been easy for me to just upgrade to an M4 with AWD, but I have a vendetta to settle with RWD. You're going to have some stuff competition next year if I decide to push DI before I add PI again. I was DI only for 3 weeks before I added all the CSF stuff and Pi. Did you set up xHP yourself? I’d love some competition! AJ, who’s currently the fastest RWD M2 Pi with a 9.18 @ 149 mph is a master at launching thoses car, beating his Di record was not easy! I’ve seen your YouTube video, and you know that it takes a lot of practice to get a great 60ft, needs a good understanding of what the tires what’s in term of pressure, launch methods and everything! Can’t wait to see you going at it again soon XHP is almost OTS Stage3, I haven’t done a lot of thing except drag mode. |

Only got to do one pull on xHP and that's the run I referenced earlier. Are you from the north east? Maybe I'll catch you at the track some time. Would be fun to get you me and AJ all together at the same time in the spring. I definitely need more seat time though hahaha. |

Best run was 5.7, but I always felt like it had more in it.
If you watched my YouTube youll see all the headaches we were having with the PI in the beginning. It took us pretty much from February to June to get the car to the point where I could go race it somewhat reliably. Car made 780whp and 760wtq on kill, but I never got a chance to run that map. I was running a 740 whp 640wtq map most of the time on pump e, like e70-e75. Would have had great data when I went to Racemotive, but I messed up and got to the track with half a tank of 93. I put 5 gallons of ignite red in it and could only get it up to about e50. Now that I know what I'm doing, I'm hoping it won't take that much time to get up to speed. More importantly, I now know who the right people to do business with are, and I know who to avoid like the plague. What was your 60-130 on the record setting pass? |
