I had this flash done by kubax86 as well and the difference to me is definitely noticeable. Especially with the auto trans your getting almost a 40ft lb increase in torque in addition to 20 hp. As someone else said it’s most noticeable in the mid range. Currently using it in conjunction with the G87 RaceChip and been ripping hard for about a week so far without any issues…It’s good value for money. Feels great

Maybe because it’s an original BMW file and the Bootloader is not being unlocked/ tampered with, that it will not void the manufacturers warranty on the car….

As much as I wish that were true I think they would use it as an excuse to deny a power train warranty claim. Though I’ve got 21000 miles on my car and have done nothing but beat the shit out of it since the break in procedure was done and it’s shown no signs of any issue thus far. I imagine my warranty will be up long before I have an engine failure and by then I doubt I’ll be the owner of the car anymore anyway.

just thinking out loud, what stops the 6MT guys flashing the tune for the 25 auto?? get the power AND torque increases!! (yes aware of gearbox limitations but this is still well below what others have done with Femto unlocks on manuals)

Just fyi, I was told by a “genius” tech at Sewell BMW in Plano, Texas that the “LCI DME FLASH for BMW G87 M2” would be detected and would void the warranty - I actually showed him that it was oem and was represented as “safe” and he had the same answer. I know it’s just one dealer but there is a “risk” that may or may not be worth it.

Please do some research (this is written hundreds of times on Bimmerpost)...no dealership can "void your warranty " as is misinfomingly typed so often. IF, and that is an IF, you brought your car in for a repair and they deemed the cause of the repair due to (in this case) the LCI flash/upgrade, then your repair would not be covered under warranty. You would still have your warranty and they would still make the repair but you would pay out of pocket. |

Magnuson Moss. Thanks for making sure I don’t take my car back to Sewell. They used to be a very mod friendly dealership, when it was still Classic.
