I added the MP kit to my build, but then backed out. They quoted me $3,100 and I just can't justify it for a set of springs. I'll either go aftermarket and take the risk with a small drop, or just get coilovers and set them up for street/track. I drove a track prepped M2 from RSR that had KW V4 coilovers. I drove through Germany and Belgium for several days and tracked it on the Nurburgring and Spa and it was a perfect set up. A bit stiffer on the street, but never harsh, and handled very well on track, especially through high speed turns like Pouhon where the car needs to be balanced on the limit.

Was going back and forth between KW & M Perf, decided to go with M performance after talking with multiple members/people who installed both. Just got the car back this afternoon from install, and I am extremely happy with the choice. Ride quality is very similar to OEM, very very, small but GOOD differences. Collars are lowered all the way down.

I have read this whole thread twice and don't see a clear consensus.
Here's what I'd like:
What do knowledgable folks think? Any feedback on performance (not just drop height) from folks who have made the conversion? Here's the parts on EAS:Help me decide what to do! Last edited by RobM2; 10-19-2024 at 11:58 AM.. |

Definitely should consider it — particularly if anyone with them chimes in positively — but I'm not super excited by their offerings these days.
H&R and KW specialize in suspension, which is a fairly niche engineering discipline. |

I understand, I'm also looking for a way to get more performance out of the standard damping with slightly higher spring rates. But hardly any of the manufacturers comment specifically on this.

There is the option of using adapters to drive the KW Motorsport springs; appropriate rates and lengths can be ordered. But it is questionable whether it really works that way in the end

The MP HAS kit is designed for the full G8X range.
The G87 as standard has soft springs to give a more playful dynamic I believe. I have the MP HAS kit fitted and find it much better for me. bit firmer - initially the car feels like it in on Sport mode for dampers when in comfort that is exactly how much stiffer it feels. I was very pleased with this mod. However since then I have had camber plates fitted with extra caster build in and rear adjustable tow arms. This really does change the way the car feels and lets you lean hard on the front corners without the standard understeer. To describe initial impressions with the mods would be its like the front wheels have been moved a couple of feet closer to the driver so steering and dynamics are far more intimate. |

Any thoughts on Dinan's new HAS? Apparently the springs are specifically designed for the G87, which could potentially be nice. I'm extremely curious to know how it compares to MPHAS.
