Has it finally happened? HELP

2019 BMW 1 Series 2.0L B48 - Going through first gear, sudden loss of power, sluggish and couldn't accelerate good. Pulled over - Engine Idle was rough and white smoke coming from the exhaust. The car starts and idles extremely roughly, (shaking) with white smoke and then will eventually stall. No coolant loss detected at all and no engine codes were thrown at all.

Since then removed all spark plugs and found oil present and pooling in cylinders 3-4 however oil was present in pretty much all cylinders.

On further inspection I removed the intake system, chargepipe, throttle body and intake manifold and to my surprise massive amount of oil leaked everywhere on removing the chargepipe from the turbo outlet. The turbo was leaking oil, and oil was present in the intake manifold, and oil was pooling in the intake valves.

What could cause such an amount of oil to leak into the turbo housing? Worn/broken piston rings? Damaged turbo oil lines and seals? Faulty banks system? So many questions haha please feel free to comment with any advice help. Have the car booked in for diagnostics this week.

My guess is also a blown turbo. It happened to me with a previous (non-BMW, stock) car.

It sounds like it already did a number on the engine. Don’t try to start it again.

In my case, it needed a new top end. Best wishes.
