G87 M2 - track safety devices
Hey Guys,
Does anyone have experience with installing 6-point harnesses on their factory carbon buckets? It seems like they're fit for them, but it's not clear and there isn't much info online. Which rollbar works best with the G87 for harness mounting? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

Assuming you would also use a HANS device with a harness? If so the height and position of the shoulder holes in the seat are important if using a HANS device that is designed for harness use, as opposed to one that is designed for either harness or seatbelt use.
One track I go to frequently doesn't allow harnesses without a HANS device, due to the increased risk of neck injury with not having the seat belt give before the head hits the airbag. |

Walker Pro Motorsports, Studio RSR, and CMS all make bolt-in cages for the M2 that can be used with a harness. I have not seen anyone use a stock carbon seat with any of them but I intend on trying to figure it out next spring. just as an FYI, Schroth does not make a quick-fit pro set up for the G8X. They don't see a demand. I know you weren't asking, but I felt it might be pertinent in case someone searches this post.
