Glad that other people weren't harmed or killed.

Anyone who puts the lives of other people at risk without a second thought isn't a hero and shouldn't be applauded.

Please correct me if I’m wrong or if I’m showing ignorance, and I’d also like to say in no way shape or form am I condoning street racing or defending his actions, but who else can get hurt besides him and the other driver?

These dudes in the NY street scene literally shut down the whole highways. No one there besides the 2 racers. If anyone is going to get hurt, it’s the 2 drivers. In this case 1 out of the 2 obviously did. Once again, not condoning or applauding his actions.

It’s happened before, street racers take out people in the wrong place at wrong time on the sidewalk, or careen out of control into oncoming traffic.

There are videos out there of bystanders who were right next to the car as it lost control. They were down the track to capture the race. While we always assume that attending a drag race has risks, including anyone standing by the road, not everyone is that knowledgeable, including these people on the side of the road, who don't really understand the risks of flanking a drag race. Unlike a legitimate drag strip, there is no crash wall, no net, no safety crew or medics.

5:57- It was something just completely out of nowhere, that nobody can predict or control in that scenario.

With all respect, I have to disagree. 1stockF30 was running a highly modified vehicle pushing BIG power. You have to assume that failure rates on any part in that car will grow exponentially with those kinds of mods. PERIOD.

It's not a case of "if", it's a case of "when". I've been tracking for 8 years now, and even someone like me with my limited span of experience understands that parts break, engines blow, seals fail, brakes fail, cars crash etc. It's just a part of the hobby. Saying this comes "out of nowhere" is insane to me.

Part failure, driver error, and the dangerous nature of the sport is exactly why keep it on the track where crash walls, gravel traps, runoff areas, and on track medics can reduce risk. The mere fact that it is "unpredictable" is a call for caution. Using unpredictability as an excuse doesn't make any logical sense to me.

If you kids want to run anywhere over 140 mph you need to run proper aero in order to reduce lift! Front & rear minimum!
Never mind tires never getting hot enough on the street.
So saddening but maybe someone will learn!

his supporters are probably take over groups. No hobbies is worth dying over. Negligence is the father of accident. Risking your life and other lives over 20k pot is so selfish. Don't waste your existence over stupid shit. Can't believe people think this guy is some kind of hero.

Gosh, I don't know? Maybe those people standing around in the video including the person who was recording it right alongside the edge of the street? 🤦‍♂️

Would kids be doing this stuff without youtube or social media to get more views? I think it's far less likely....I did some crazy stuff on my sportbike when I first got it but self preservation and common sense keeps most people in check. However, when they know they have an audience - especially kids - they tend to do dumb stuff that looks brave and think about it later. Look at all the sport bike riders doing 160+ in traffic and filming it. Death wish

Somehow 650ib is still alive and he's always been a low talent squid

Are you saying we should put limits on Social Media? Would this be an age limit or is this something like content limit (i.e. no street racing videos on any platform)?

The video is full of ridiculous logic.

Basically saying at that speed he was going to die anyway so a seatbelt doesn’t matter. Among other things, not wearing a seatbelt is a pattern of reckless behavior.

Also saying a roll cage isn’t legal so he can’t have one. First off, I think they are legal in many states. But more importantly, there is no way his car is even remotely street legal. I don’t think a roll cage is going to be the straw that breaks the camels back.

A cage, harness, and helmet would have made it more likely he survived. No guarentees because yeah that’s fast. But that’s how safety gear works. It lowers, but does not eliminate, the risk.

Did you even watch the video? How fast do you think he was going when he PASSED BY THE CAMERMAN and those around him? Cheese and rice. 🤦‍♂️

Glad I’m not the only one who saw the (excuse) video for what it was. This should be a cautionary tale of how taking stupid risks repeatedly catches up.
Honestly the take away from the video is don’t bother wearing seatbelts on the street when racing cause nothing will save you.
