Axle stands

looking to jack the front end and safely put a pair of axle stands under, not sure where to place each one ,was thinking somewhere near the suspension frame on each side with a block of wood or similar to minimise any marring .its for an oil change ,I have ramps but I don't trust them 100% and thought jacking plus axle stands are safer also.

any pointers please ...

Where did you end up putting the jack stands ?

Are there specific jack stand attachments that match up with those hard plastic jack points on the car ?

I jack up the car using the front drivers side plastic jacking point and then slide a ramp under the drivers side front wheel and then let the car down on the ramp. I then do a few pumps on the jack to take a little weight off of the ramp and then I leave the jack in place as a backup. I then begin draining oil, let the car back down onto the ground for 10 mins, then jack it back up following that same procedure to slide out the oil drain pan and replace the oil drain plug, I then get the car back on the ground and complete the oil change.
