Perhaps a custom mapping could take care of the bucking bronco effect. I've experimented a few times with this option and made one or two for highway driving that I prefer.

Admittedly, I stopped using the feature once I realized I couldn't make more than 1 map at a time and edit them independently--the app doesn't preserve the visual graph for each map. I've sent feedback to Dinan about this a few other oddities about the app but don't have a lot of confidence they'll address anything.

Once I’m out of break-in and can drive the car with immediately having to intentionally cut throttle all the time, it’s game on. 620 miles to go!
I'll be curious to hear your thoughts! The thing makes me giggle, it's so ridiculous on the higher settings. Be sure to at least try #5. Everyone deserves to experience #5.

I'm assuming this eats up more gas?

I can't say I've noticed any change (positive or negative) in fuel consumption. Not sure throttle boosters affect fuel consumption, though. I suppose I could track for a bit just to see...

No change, as it doesn't change the power output in any way, just the % throttle applied for a given pedal position.

100% completely up to the driver if it does or doesn't.

There's also an "ECO" profile.

I've not tried one of these on any car, so I can't speak from experience. But don't these ultimately just limit/compress the amount of throttle range that you have?

They should still go from 0 to 100, just with less pedal pressure?!?!

I'm not being negative, but rather am truly curious. Especially since nobody claims they do anything to improve performance.

You are correct - they remap throttle response. That's it. It's an easy, inexpensive mod that won't flag your car but that increases the hooligan fun factor far more than the cost & install ease would suggest.

You don't get more power, but you'll feel like you're driving with more power. They're a blast.

The Dinan includes an OEM setting, a -20% setting, 3 + settings, and you can program 3 custom maps yourself.

Since I had it on hand from my F87, it was a no brainer to try it out. I giggle even on the 3rd setting (+1 from OEM). Add M2 mode and it's plain ol' silly. LOL
