Did not realize until yesterday that one needed to be in an outside lane when texting so that there was extra room when one's eyes are off the road. Lady managed to cover the lane and the shoulder consistently but then text was more important than where she was going. Unfortunately, the guy pulling the subsequently deformed landscape trailer was not as understanding.

I like this one too, Jabcat! Nicely done - looks OEM. Perforated leather looks sharp, sporty.

Has no place on a high-touch interface. Just MO.
Be thankful you never had to hold the vinyl covered or hard plastic steering wheels from the 70's! Or did you & the gloss CF is bringing back horrifying memories & post traumatic steering wheel disorder?

I feel your pain, but I dunno - that gloss CF looks so nice! Someone should do matte, though. Whoever does it first is gonna make a killing.

LOL. Remember the hard foam/plastic/rubber VW wheels on the Golf’s/GTIs etc? I honestly can’t remember what my VR6 Corrado had. Definitely some PTSWD.

I have the steering wheel, it’s awesome, but I was wondering if there’s a cover I could find for it to stop it from wearing down

Treat it with ColourLock Shield. It’ll resist dirt and wear, bigly.

I ticked the 'alcantara' box on my 2025 LCI so I'm really expecting great things from the new wheel.

I found a good guide with actual part numbers: https://paddleshifterz.com/oem-bmw-m...-buyers-guide/
You will need more parts than just a steering wheel for 2024 M2. For my MT it's 6 new parts total for the retrofit.

I ordered from them, but one can probably order it cheaper from US vendors. Install pending, probably will get to it next week and post the result.

Great info thanks. so what were you all in for the total amount of parts? The steering wheel is only $800.00, but the trim and other parts are probably going to add quite a bit.

It was around $1.2K total. Those plastic trim covers and wire harness are not very expensive. I didn't go for CF trim as I don't have any CF in interior. That isn't cheap. I went for Alcantara + silver center trim.
