Baby seat in your 2?

Hi all, I'm considering an M240i as an daily. In 2014 I had an M235i so I'm familiar with smaller coupes, but I'm curious if any of you use it to cart your kid around? I have a 2-year-old daughter who for the time being is still rear facing. The car seat is a 360 spinning one so getting her in and out isn't the worst thing in the word, but do you completely lose the use of the front seat? any pics of your setup?

Thanks!

I don’t have any pictures, but I can tell you my daughters car seat did not fit in the back of my m240i at all, not rear facing or front facing. I was fortunate that she was big/old enough for a booster seat, so that’s what we did, but FYI.

I daily my car and i am using Cybex Pallas G without any issues. My kid is able to sit comfortably and the passenger has good seating position. I am not sure about your seat though especially if it has a base that rotates. Ill try to take a picture for you

Its a bit of irony that the first pics I post of my brand new 2025 with 37 miles on it... are of car seats.

90% of the time the rear facing seat will be out of the car. When it is in the car there will not be a passenger but my wife could fit if needed.

Britax 5 point booster slash harness seat (forward facing only)

Chicco key fit 30

Will test out some of our other seats maybe this weekend.

we use our X2 typically but i have put the car seat in the back of the 240 a couple times, you do lose virtually all leg room in front and getting the seat in with the baby in it is a pain - better off having the seat in there and going back there and strapping them in.

There is no way I’d put up with regularly putting kids in the back seats.
The speed at which the front seats move is glacial.

If it’s a necessity, I’d put the car seat in the front and switch the airbag off.

The seat movement speed is a non issue. Do you have little kids?

Kids are not quick, you have to get them set up to go in the seat you have to take off their coat or find something for them. If you preemptively flip the seat forward when you get out you basically won't wait at all.

Even if kids are slow to get in, you need to wait, potentially next to a busy road while the seat moves before you can start to get them in. Then it takes ages to move back and you are waiting, potentially in inclement weather for you to get in.
Also looking at the photos, you guys either have no legroom or are very short.

Yeah you definitely don't have little kids and are just trolling the thread.

Getting the kids in the car next to a busy roadway LMAO

Also my drivers seat is in my normal position, try again. 6'2"

Just because you get an opinion you don’t agree with, doesn’t meant the person is trolling.

If you don't have kids you have nothing to add and no valid opinion, and yet here you are.

Haha, but still you don't answer the question.

Let's see the pictures of your car seats!

To the OP: My back hurts just thinking about putting kids in those car seats - front or back seat. There is a reason why minivans and SUVs were invented.
