After a bit of middle aged brain fade led me down an Audi SUV shaped path (diesel too!!), I returned to my BMW shaped home a few months back.

So my last one was a Yas Marina Blue F82 M4, which has now been superceded by a Brooklyn Grey G42 M240i, that was an ex-demo car with low miles and some nice options that included the Servicing package, purchased through Eastern BMW in Edinburgh (since the F82 I've also moved up to the Scottish Borders!). Liking the Brooklyn Grey too, which is quite surprising how it changes with the light.

What a fab thing it is too and with the XDrive and B58 combo, dare I say it I much prefer it to the F82 (which was a low mileage non-Comp mid 2016 car).

I never quite gelled with the F82, which tried to throw me off the road a couple of times in damp conditions, the G42 feels much more 'usable' IMHO.

Its a pre-LCI, but does have the iDrive 8.5 with the curved display. Even though the iDrive is quite the leap from the F82, I pretty much felt at home right from the first drive and am very happy indeed
