Since I possibly pissed off others in another thread, I might as well keep it going. Aside from the shifter feeling and of course how light it was, I never got into the S2000 hype. I just never felt that VTEC yo like others.
I will say the ITS I test drove did feel powerful enough to be fun. If the S2000 had that power level without mods, it would’ve been a riot. |

i dont really fit in them, but the shifter is the star of the show to me. in terms of on road dynamics (and fit) i prefer miatas and (most) Z cars. |

Funny, I was a huge 300ZX fan, unfortunately couldn’t afford the TT at the time.

Lol, beat me to it, was gonna say exactly the same thing. I'd say it is one of the great roadsters of this century. I mean, that's a small pool of competitors, sadly, but it is what it is.

I have not driven G87 manual yet, but I just bought a used 2006 Z4M. After changing the fluid, which was horrible looking and smelling (17 years unchanged?), it shifts great. It's way better than my F87 competition; you can actually shift it fast and it's already less rubbery without aftermarket SSK.
