Took delivery yesterday. VPC had to repair a dent apparently. Was worried that the damage would be big, but i could not even tell that it was even dented. Those people at the VPC are excellent at what they do.

I changed cars yesterday. Got stuck in 2hrs of bumper to bumper traffic going from OC to SD last weekend and gave up on 6MT. It was fun for the 3.5 weeks I had it. But I prefer the paddles more.

LOL, you beat my record of 6 months before I traded a new car for a newer car!

While nothing will replace the experience of driving a MT if you really want to drive a MT, I've heard review after review that says the ZF8 ratios are better suited to the G87. I optioned the auto simply because I wanted adaptive cruise and the ZF8 on the track is still very good. I'm guessing it's going to be an identical experience to our G8X ZF8, which I'm not unhappy about at all.

It is an identical experience ZF8 wise for sure. I love manual. I just dont want to daily drive one. Garage queen, sure. But not to daily drive.

I do feel the ZF8 is a much better match for the car. Much smoother power delivey. And highway crusing isnt at 3K RPM anymore like it was in the 6MT. Its back down to 2K rpm around 80MPH.
