How often do we get updates?

Took delivery of my 2025 quite a while ago and it came already updated to current. Seems like before I had the car I read about constant updates on here (resting various things etc.) Historically, how often do the occur? Is it a predictable frequency? Or completely random. What’s the shortest-lived code that you can remember? Is it safe to say these will become fewer and farther between as the G87 goes through its life?
You’d figure 8.5 would be buggy and need updates, but nothing yet.

BMW releases updates 3 times a year. November, March and July. Dealers get them first, then a couple of months later they are pushed OTA.

Unless it offers a dramatic improvement, to me, its more trouble than its worth to update.
