I have to make a correction, i had to go look at my receipts from a long time ago. I have run the 2000's not the 1500's
They worked great on the street.

The 2000's are definitely streetable though, no downsides and better than the 1500.

Yeah, I have already asked but the oil cooler guard. Will see how it plays out. My SA said it shouldn’t be a problem to have it installed on the day of delivery. I don’t mind paying for it but if it is ridiculously expensive I will just take it to my indie shop. They specialize on German cars.

I decided to wait until after the 1,200-mile break-in to install replacement pads because I wanted to make sure that everything was working correctly from the factory. I wanted to avoid the possibility of something being wrong with the brakes from the factory, but BMW blaming it on the replacement pads.

Was just watching a video on youtube where this guy got completely shafted on warranty issue with his brakes because he replaced the pads before the rotor problem showed itself.
A good idea to make sure the car is in good status before you do non-reversible mods.

There was no warranty issue because as he stated he put original pads on and it fixed the issue he was experiencing. Obviously the issue was the aftermarket pads he installed. He tried to make it into a bigger issue than it was (for clicks), as evidenced by "now the car has wheels & and aero kit, don't know what they dealership will say...". They'll say nothing because those things have no bearing on the warranty.

It should take less than 10 min & not something I would pay anyone to do. A decent dealer would throw it on as part of the PDI.

i am starting to get some clunking noises from the brakes. hard to explain then they do but usually when at a full stop and start moving. it’s not always but it’s like thump. i have read this is someone normal for brakes but nobody mentioned this with the isweep. didn’t have the issue with my stock brakes.
i did use caliper grease but maybe not enough or in the right place? |

I had no clunking with isweeps while they where on my M3. Not a single sound from them.

guess it’s hit or miss. my isweep dealer mentioned isweep came by from Japan and dropped off a bunch of new grease. a thicker formula which makes me assume others are having issues and they are aware of it. i will be trying some and hopefully it helps. have to basically re-install the pads to grease them
