Suspension rake

Had the ride height adjusted along with a final alignment after recent suspension work. The shop that installed the parts said they got the height nearly even (within 3mm, according to them), which was weird to me as the front is visually about a 1/2" higher than the rear. The alignment shop, which races a ton of BMW's, said the chassis rake is actually positive by 7/8" as it sits, and evening it out visually will take it over an inch positive and negatively impact handling and make the car more prone to snap oversteer. I see most lowering springs seem to aim for a fairly even wheel gap front to rear. It's not the end of the world if I have a less than ideal visual drop, but wanted to see if the shop was just making shit up. I do notice many BMW race cars do seem to have what appears to be negative visual rake, with the rear wheels appearing to be dumped compared to the front, which would lend some credence to the alignment shop's input. Car drives very well now and I certainly don't want to screw that up. Thoughts?

I have about half inch rake and the gap in front is larger than the rear which is similar to what you’re talking about. We take the measurements from the jack puck area It was throwing me off at first with this car visually. But it works and is pretty neutral on track
