2010 370Z
So who else thinks the 2010 370Z is going to be a hot car and a new force in the $30-35k sports/performance car market?
The current 350Z with it's 306 hp engine is a quick car and still fun and a "bargain" considering it's 5 years old. The new car is going to be 100-150 lbs lighter, with the 3.7 liter engine from the G37 but probably tuned for 340-350 hp. Look at it this way too. That would mean it would be about 400-450 lbs LESS in weight than the G37 Coupe and have 10-20 hp more!!! The G37 hangs pretty close to a stock 335i Coupe, so the 370Z should easily run with the stock 335i in a straight line (probably even edge out the 335i a bit) and handle like (or maybe even better than) the e92 M3!!! Not too bad for $35k Should make for a fun car and if prices don't go up more than about a grand or so across the line for the various trim levels, will be a hot new car next year. It will be fun to take one out for a spin. |

Like this one: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...&ct=image&cd=1 The reason for the lighter weight is because the car is actually going to be a bit SMALLER! It will now be about the same size as a Porsche Cayman or BMW Z4 Coupe. So I can believe the weight loss. The 3.7 liter engine shouldn't weigh much more than the 3.5 liter...maybe 20 lbs due to slightly larger internal parts. And if they upgrade the interior like the new 2009 Maxima, well, the cheap Nissan interior might become a thing of the past. |

Why does everybody think a picture is a photoshop job these days?
Other than the "shark teeth" and the "lazy eyelids" on the headlights, I think it looks very similiar to the current car, which is quite sharp. |

unfortunately, the headlight is going to be like that. if you dont believe it, go look at the new Maxima. i think that ulgy headlight design is going to be on alotta nissans in the near future. the rest of the car looks pretty similar to the current Z except a bit smaller.
it's going to be a fun car no doubt. i had a G35 coupe and loved it. Z woulda been more fun but is lacking the rear seats and the nicer interior. im sure 370Z is going to be a force to be recken with.. |

who can say no to an affordable, fast, rwd coupe? im actually glad the interior is cheapish feeling. for some reason i feel bad about thrashing a nice car. but when in a performance honda or nissan i have no problem driving it like i stole it. i guess its because if anything breaks it wont break my bank account as well....

It's one of the cars on my "To test drive" list.
