Front lip in gloss black

Hi
Is there any front lips in gloss black available to the g87?
I am looking for a liv without the vertical «wings» on the sides.

I would perfer a more subtle look, and not a big lip.

Check out Maxton Design. They have a few different options available that I believe are gloss black.

I went with Maxton V.2

I have just purchased (today) the Aeroflow Dynamics unit. I hope it's as good as it looks (for the price) in the photos some of you have posted.

I did full Maxton parts on my G87, gloss black except for the front lip. My car is lowered (port installed MP HAS) so I couldn't do their gloazz black front lips - they stick out pretty far & extend down quite a bit, too. Was worried about scrape.

I did their Street pro front lip. It's matte black, can be painted (thinking about getting it painted gloss black in the spring.) It's made of a material meant to take a beating/scraping. I am guessing it can be sanded. It looks real nice (I have posts on here with pics.)

Their V1-V4 front lips do not have winglets. Neither does the Street Pro V1 (https://maxtondesignusa.net/collecti...v-1-bmw-m2-g87)

I also did the V2 side skirts, 3D spoiler cap and the V1 Valance/diffuser with V3 rear side splitters specifically for that valance.

Some folks say their stuff is cheap/thin but I totally disagree. I find their parts to be good quality ABS & pretty dang rigid - at least as good as OEM ABS. The gloss black finish is really nice too & works perfectly with BSM.

Imo, the Aeroflow Dynamics is really the only option. I ordered and received Maxton pieces & they were garbage. So bad that I paid $300 to return them.

I did have an issue with the first Aeroflow splitter I received with the center section having a noticeable bend. I contacted them & they sent me a new splitter free of charge. Definitely better quality than Maxton and cheaper.

Here are some pics. Let me know if you want to see anything more clearly and I'll snap some for you. I know the lip is tough to see here.

I have seen JABCAT's post about his dissatisfaction with the Maxton kit he ordered. Can you comment on the quality fit and finish of your pieces?

EDIT: I missed that you addressed my question in your first post. Perhaps Maxton has inconsistent QC or maybe JABCAT was just very unlucky.

Can anyone else running Maxton comment on quality, fit and finish?

Looking good!

Yeah, it be great to get a few pics of the front lip.

Btw, if your suspension is OEM, what’s your front vertical clearance?

I'll take some tomorrow in the sun.

I am on the port-installed M Performance HAS kit. Love it. Perfect height, not so low you scrape the lip. It does scrape the air flow director thingies under the car by the front wheels. I just cut about an inch off of them with a Dremel - no more embarrassing scraping sounds. LOL

Fromt lip is 5" off the ground.

I received my front lip from Aeroflow Dynamics today. Quality looks good and everything fits together nicely.
I must however re-interate the comments made by others that you will need to remove the supplied double-sided tape that comes fitted to the parts.
For some reason the tape is being placed close to (and in some place over) the visible part of the lip which means you would see it when fitted.

I am actually going to test fit my lip with no double-sided attached, using just the two rows of self tapping screws that are supplied. I think this will be sufficient to hold the lip firmly in place, but will make replacing any damaged parts a breeze in the future.

I wouldn't recommend this as the screws aren't screwing into anything except the thin plastic bumper cover. Whereas the original splitter on my Z06 is held on with screws & no tape for example. However, those screws attach to j-clips on a support brace inside the front bumper cover, not into the plastic itself.

Yep, fair call.
Maybe one row of 3M VHB right near the front edge.

any pics of the rear valence? i have been back and forth which way to go. and which rear side pieces to go with the V1 Valence

it’s weird, the maxton USA, Canada and the general Maxton Uk site. All have different stock quantity and prices. Canada site says the pricing is in US till check out and then flips to CAD but still says USD. the conversion seems accurate that it converted to CAD but that’s not what the website says. like the increased the price by 25% and don’t have anything to argue if you try to dispute. they offer free shipping over 600 which the Us doesn’t offer. couple hundred bucks in saving there
