I've noticed that the window switches on the M3/M4 are nicer quality units than the plain plastic ones on the M2.
Does anyone know if the M2 units are interchangeable with the M3/M4 ones.
They look similar in photos.

No, but when my M2 arrives soon, I might source the part number and see if it's compatible. I've looked at many photos and they look the same.

Good question. At BMW's price point, it should be aluminum but who knows....

I was driving an M3 last week and had a look at them. I'm 99% they are painted plastic...

I’ve been wanting to do this on my G42 but haven’t found the part number for the window switches.

I was able to find the part numbers for the door lock switches. Haven’t bought them so can’t comment on materials. Pulling off the door card has been my hold up.

Any ways here are pn for the lock switches if anyone is interested.
