It’s different hardware. The older hardware is not compatible with 8.5+.

You just pay small fee for the time, also you can turn off OTA like many guys do.

So to check back in after quite a bit of driving with the CSL Steering/Trans/DSC & LCI Flash. I'd say this is some of the best money ever spent on the numerous modified vehicles I've owned. The Steering flash makes the car so much nicer to drive in every scenario. The car feels solid and planted now. The Trans flash has become more noticeable with time. It's not only faster/more crisp but smoother downshifting/upshifting to the point that it is completely worth 3x the cost.

Ofcourse it would…. Though considering there are people running around with 600-750 whp daily driving and beating the snot out of their cars and the only engine failures I’ve seen or read about are people making big power on aftermarket turbos I don’t think you have much to worry about. I’ve got 23000 miles on my 2024 of which most of the miles were with a RaceChip and xhp stage 3 trans tune with no issues to speak of other than the tires wear out too quick. I’ve done nothing other than stick to the condition based service through the dealer with no special oil or yada yada and always using 93/94 octane and I’ve gotta be making close to 600whp. My car is driven hard as well averaging 13mpg over the course of those 23k miles.

I read that someone did the RC chip from the M3/M4 and is running it on his M2. I'm not sure if that was on top of a stock 23/24 or the LCI 25 tune? I asked a vendor about doing this and was told RC and the vendor don't recommend it but was given no reason as to why. I left it at that.

Did the 2025 LCI and CSL Flash with Kubax86 today.
As far as the LCI Flash, I can definitely feel the increase in performance, especially the torque increase. Moreover it seams the turbo lag in the low end has been significantly eliminated. I also noticed a small but very nice detail: the gauges in Sport mode are also changed to 480 HP and 600nm. As far as the CSL Flash, the steering is now a bit more heavy, and more accurate. The DSC feels smoother and diff locks faster/better. The EDC/ suspension is a bit more firm, which helps a lot especially in combination with the steering since it gives a way better confidence feeling on hard acceleration and heavy load. The trans is now sharper and faster. Downshifts are swift and not stalling/ hesitating. The car is on OEM springs and with no spacers but now feels as it should. All above was tested with engine Sport, Chassis Sport+, Steering Sport, Trans S3, DSC Off and MDM. I also tried the D setting. Kick down in D is way faster while the comfort is not compromised when in D. The procedure was easy, quick and Kubax86 was patient with my questions and very professional. Highly recommended! 100% worth it! |
