I did just change it. The option wasn’t there in 2 series. But in 3 series it was. So I changed it to blue. Then I hit “code”. When it was done, first thing that got my attention was a warning message from ID8 that my driver assistance system has been permanently disabled, and to contact bmw for that. Hmm. Ok? This car isn’t available with the driving assistance package like my x3m has. But maybe even the lane assistance and auto braking in this car is considered a driving assistance package. I don’t know.

At any rate. I went to see if the color change worked. At first I was afraid because I don’t even have a “bronze” to select. But, my “IVORY” setting is now what I chose in bimmercode.

Guess now I should go for a drive and turn on the lane keep stuff and see if it works or whatnot.

EDIT: Update on this, the disabled DA system warning was apparently just a post-coding glitch. When I took the car out for a drive later, I noticed no side effects from the coding I did other than the changes I intentionally made. I activated and tested the lane keep assist and it was working as normal.

Any chance you could do a recording of RR sounds? Always wondered about it. 😀

Also, window roll down cancel? What’s that?

This is essentially the available different sounds:

'Rolls Royce sounds' seem like it would be way cooler than it actually is lol. But it's kinda cool to have for a while.

And the continuation of window roll-up is simply that if you open your doors while rolling up the windows , they will continue to go up (or down) , instead of stopping like they normally would. I believe it's just a precautious safety feature.

So apparently turning off ASD didn't take . Looks like I have to go to Expert mode for that.

Also, I really like the one touch 5 blinkers turn signal addition

Was able to get ASD shut off in 3-Series/M3 section using Expert mode.

Car is so quiet now, omg.

BimmerCode had an updated and I was once again able to code the car to start in sport individual. Haven’t confirmed any other changes were effective

Car updated to version 11/23 finally.

It looks like 5 blinkers, ASD delete, and maybe one other change remained.

Everything else returned to stock factory spec.

Time to break out the BimmerCode again

Just re-added everything in BimmerCode.

I always use both 2-Series and 3-Series/M3 to make sure everything 'sticks'.

The best thing that I have done for the audio SQ was delete the ASD with the Bimmercode, this was a surprisingly big improvement. Then I added the Bimmertech Alpha amp and now have a truly worthy audio system.

Interesting.. I like ASD but have been contemplating disabling it. I will give it a try, good way to stop the annoying speaker rattle when going WOT with loud music

Have you tried disabling activation codes (01B4) for Receiver Audio Module to turn off ASD?
I did that in m340i but I'm not sure if it worked properly. Do you have any instrcutions on how to turn ASD off in Expert mode?

This will likely end up lost in the ether of this thread, but I learned something about coding heated seat memory with ID8. I'm pretty sure the fact I coded my heated seat memory to "24 hour" was conflicting with automatic climate control. I could tell most days that the seat was heating if I had the heated seat on less than 24 hours prior, even though in the climate settings it is off. The little heated seat symbol was not showing, but the seat was heating. I think programming the memory overrides the automatic climate control heated seat setting, so if my seat was turned on within 24 hours of the last drive, it turned on again even if I turned it off. Since removing this memory, the seats seem to listen to my setting now.

I found in ID7 just disabling ASD was sufficient.

But if you want to delete it

- Connect
- Select “Receiver Audio Module”
- Select “Activation codes” from the menu in the top right corner
- Select the ASD activation code
- Select export, DON'T SKIP THIS STEP, otherwise you can not recover ASD
- Select “Deactivate activation code”

Thank You, perhaps in ID8 it's different. I turned off ASD and then disabled activation code at the same time. I'm sure Iconic Sounds are completly disabled, whenther I turn them on or off. I'm not sure about that basic ASD. It's working on it's own or above 2,500 rpm B58 sounds really nice. Below 2,500 rpm it's almost like an electric.

FYI to anyone with a 2025 car, there are not very many coding options. There's still some good ones but only like 6-8 modules are available to code.

I asked bimmercode about it and they said that bmw is locking down modules and that it will be unlikely those units become available to code.

So what is left that can be coded?

Here are the available modules. Still definitely some good stuff, but not nearly all that used to be available.

Code disable start stop does nothing.

Can disable ASD

Can change the ambient colors

Can disable seatbelt chime

Can adjust heated seat temp values and heated wheel memory.

No head unit, unable to code off welcome screen acknowledgment every time the car starts.
