Got the car back today. Replacing the steering rack appears to have addressed it.

I’ve noticed a distinct clunk from the front end if I move the steering wheel when stationary, though it only seems to happen when the car is cold.

A couple of others in this thread appeared to have reached the final boss as I have.
All started under 1k miles, knocking then tapping and clicking … First visit mounting bolts were loose… quick fix lasted a week Second visit, SIB replaced front struts… A little over a week then back to dealership Third visit SIB, tie rods…. A week same same Last visit got a loaner, they had ‘engineer’ look at it and replaced EPS. Problem seemingly solved. Apparently they overtorqued something at factory and just throws everything off from that point. Regardless, it sucks but I love my 240 and it feels a lot more solid on the highway no squirrelyness. Hope this helps guys cause I was a little in my feelings when this shit started up. |

Yeah same. I got it fixed. They replaced my tie rods and for good measure also my front shocks and everything. Car is perfect now. Note it only happens when it’s cold. After that it’s fine. So make sure you tell the dealer. Cuz they turned me back first cuz they could not hear it when they took it for a test drive. Then I figured it’s only when it’s cold so 20 min later it’s kinda ok. They reproduced it and then solved it.
