Battery Died, Warranty Voided
Hello!
I wanted to get some feedback regarding my situation. My car battery died after not driving it for two weeks. I’ve heard that these batteries should be able to last longer without being in use and stored in a garage. I brought it to the dealer and they said that warranty doesn’t cover it because of my aftermarket LED steering wheel. Is it possible for an aftermarket steering wheel to keep drawing power and eventually kill the battery? They also quoted me $835 and that includes a new battery, diagnostic, and labor. Is that a fair price? Also car is 2024 M2 with ~4,000 miles. Last edited by fatfire; 12-03-2024 at 06:28 PM.. |

yes it is possible that you have a drain on your battery. Did you try charging it? It is rare that a battery would be totally trashed because it was discharged.
