Seems like a trend these days. I've been in Ready For Transport since 10/31. Thursday will be 5 full weeks in this status. So close yet so far.

My car completed production 10/3 and has been at the port here in the US since 11/10 with no movement.

I'm hearing they're very backed up at the VPC. Wonder if the back up at the ports in the US is delaying cars from leaving the factory.

Not sure, but I definitely am losing my mind waiting nearly a month to take delivery of a car that's only an hour away from the dealership.

Hopefully you see some movement soon.

mine was at port of NJ for over 5 weeks, no parts were getting installed either. Worst part was exactly what you just mentioned about knowing your car is just miles away sitting there.

Mine was done on October 28 and was released to a carrier on November 2 to the port and it’s been sitting there since then !

Something is definitely going on, and it's not good. You guys all seem to be stuck in MX, my car has been stuck at the port in Newark (East Coast US) since 11/10.

I'm going to call genius now. This is getting a little ridiculous.

Just called genius, that was really weird. Super nice lady. She said she's never seen this before. My work order was opened 11/11 and the truck was scheduled for 11/18, but she shows nothing after that in BMWs system.

She told me to contact the sales manager of my dealership, get him to reach out to the field team and find out what the hell is going on. Specifically told me to tell the sales manager I spoke with BMW NA.

This really sucks.

That really sucks that it's taking this long at port. Hopefully you contacting everyone and raising the issue will net you some swag from the dealer shop

yeah that is really weird. Not sure if there is a way but maybe push the dealer to get in contact with some people higher up to see what the massive delay is for your car.

But for everyone else that is in Mexico, in the East Coast, and in ready for transport, there may be hope.
Of course please don't completely get your hopes up (I am not either) but it looks like there is a cargo vessel on its way to Veracruz arriving on the 9th.
It will hopefully pick up our cars and then head to:

Jacksonville, Florida --------- Arriving 13 Dec ------- Departing 15 Dec
Newark, New Jersey ------Arriving 18 Dec ---------- Departing 18 Dec
Baltimore, Maryland ------Arriving 20 Dec

so I guess now we wait 3 days and see if this theory is true and we finally have our cars before the end of the year.

I totally agree with you. Every time I call Genius they are usually nice, and only on occasion are they curt. However, other than telling me that it is a nice car that I am waiting for, there never is any information or updates. Last time the person on the phone said to give another 2 weeks, as if a six week waiting period is very normal for the plant operations and associated port(s). Why is it the more money you spend with a company the more problems you encounter?

Im on the east coast as well. South Florida to be exact. I was told on Nov 4 Car is complete, Nov 14 car is in transport to exit port, since then no updates. The Genius Line is decent, but can not tell me exit port, or any further information. Kind of a bummer when the order was placed in October. Hoping it comes before year end.
