Has anyone measured the total available width inside the wheel well (with or without aftermarket coilovers)?

Do you know if M2 G87 OEM spec 19 front and 20 rear for the ML-10RT will be produced?

love the wheel but worry that your current specs won't fit/look good on my g87 m2

We take a number of measurements during development, but there are a bunch of factors that impact wheel fitment so there isn't one wheel or tire size that is ideal for all cars. Aftermarket coilovers or HAS kits are also a spectrum. Some kits take up more room than others, and where you set the ride height also affects how much tire clearance you have up front.

We aren't going to offer widths and offsets that are an exact replica of the OE wheels, but the ML-10RT will get the same 2 20" offerings available in our VS-5RS line, 20x10 ET8 front and 20x11 ET18 Rear. We have a number of photos showcasing what our wheels look like on the G87 platform that you can view here: https://apexwheels.com/gallery/bmw/m2/g87

We don't have ML-10RT shots yet, but the widths and offsets will match the VS-5RS and SM-10RS so you can evaluate the fitments fairly easily.

I'm not sure at the moment to be honest, they are still being worked on by engineering.

Not for at least a few months. If you'd like to be notified about it via email, shoot me a DM with your address. We'll also post about it on our main forum threads and socials as well, but a smaller thread like this one likely won't get bumped.

Are any G87 wheels 40% off? That may be a snow set up play. Thanks.

Have you already addressed the clicking issue? If I get V5-S wheels, will they click?

Apologies from this side of the pond if the topic's been covered already, but would appreciate some thoughts on wheel sizing for all season tyre setup.

If you think availability of OEM sizes is poor in North America, you should see how limited it is over here. Essentially if I want a full set in OEM sizes, I can't have all seasons from ANY manufacturer, and for full winters (arguably not necessary in our cool/damp winters where we rarely get snow/ice, at least where I live), the ONLY manufacturer who does both F/R OEM is Yokohama. And the 285's are about as easy to find as unicorn wee....

So....

Like others on here, I guess if I want an all season solution, I'm going to have to go for a square setup. Fronts should be OK in OEM 9.5J 275/35/19 with an offset of 20, but would the same size/offset not look a bit narrow on the rears? I’m assuming I’d be ok running the same profile f/r - according to Opeono the radius difference is only -0.6%

I'm not overly keen on spacers, so would changing the offset on a 9.5J wheel compensate?

Have to confess I'm not brilliant with the technical stuff, so be gentle!

There aren't G87 fitments available at the 40% off rate, but all of the G87 wheels are discounted at 15% off minimum for the forged wheels and 20% off the flow formed SM-10s we recommend for winter wheels.

The same image asset had to be used across multiple forums this year which isn't ideal, but the discounts on G87 products are still significant.

Our team is still working on understanding this issue. There haven't been any changes made to the wheels yet specifically for it, but we're continuing to investigate. I put together a longer post about this on another thread (link here) but it's tied to the brake rotors. The majority of customers with these wheels even with a G87 with the problematic rotor type don't have any issues which is what makes pinning down the issue quite difficult. I would say that for each new customer, clicking is unlikely but possible. If you do have the issue, please reach out and let us know. There are a few solutions we can try to resolve it. Both myself and our CS team will work to make sure you have a good purchasing experience and to stand behind the products we offer regardless of the issue.

I'm looking for a winter wheel set up. I have 3 brand new 225/45/19 winter tires that I bought for my G20 last winter. Never got a chance to mount them. I would like to buy a set of wheels that these tires will fit on that is compatible with the G87. I would only have to buy 4 wheels and 1 tire instead of 4 wheel and 4 tires

Can anyone lend me some assistance, I have no clue when it comes to wheel specs or anything wheel related for that matter

Hey! This tire size is pretty thin for a G87. Although it is usually better to have a thinner tire for winter, we recommend a 19x9.5 ET25 as the smallest size possible with a 265/35-19. We can verify this fitment as a direct fit. If you use a 225/45-19, it'll be quite a stretch on a 9.5 inch wide wheel which wouldn't be ideal for a winter setup.

Thanks Jasper. I guess I'll be buying 4 tires and wheels

Do you recommend this 19 inch wheel in a square set up for winter? Or should I go staggered?

Yeah, it's the way it goes sometimes.

We always recommend a square setup for a set of winters because you want the thinnest tires possible and you also want to follow your own tracks from front to rear with the same amount of contact patch.

Would that still be necessary if you only needed winter tires for cold temps and not necessarily for driving in snow? I don’t plan on driving my car on snow (maybe a light coating at most) but on days like today where our temp is below 30 degrees.
Thanks!

As someone who is in a climate with the 4 extreme seasons, I have always kept a set of snow wheels/tires on my car when the temperatures get as low as 30-40 as they are rated to work in any "cold" weather. You would probably be okay running nonwinter tires, especially with no snow, but I would look into all seasons that have some kind of winter rating.

For me, having some kind of winter rated tires lets me know that my car will be as predictable as possible when the road conditions are not.
