Aftermarket TPMS Sensors
Has anyone installed or know which aftermarket TPMS sensors will work with the G87? I checked some BMW parts sites and it looks like the OEM part number is 36-10-6-877-937 and I found these on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D5MVRN1/ According to the listing it says they should work with that BMW part number. |

Most aftermarket ones will require programing. If you have the programming tool, you are good to go.

I'm assuming the ones on amazon will work but it would be nice to have confirmation since getting incompatible ones would be a massive pain the in the ass to replace. |

I have been providing many forum members with Huf TPMS.
All been working and happy with it.

Update to this topic, the TPMS sensors I linked did not end up working. I tried the relearning TPMS process in the idrive settings and it acts like it goes through the process but eventually hangs around 50% then fails.

One last update to this saga. I was able to get access to a high end TPMS sensor tool and resolve the issue. This is what I did.
So the TL/DR for this is: These sensors will work IF they are all programmed correctly as per the listing.. |

These are the ones I bought. I would have ordered from Apex when I bought my wheels, but they were out of stock. I just told him that it was for a 2024 G87. Recognized the new wheels immediately. Was pretty seamless. |

If you read the production description on this website they mention them being pre-programmed for plug-and-play...

I got a set of 4 tpms from tire rack, not sure the brand but they are not oem and not expensive, but I bought them separately from the wheels and tires. Had the mount and balance done at an independent motorsports shop. No coding or pairing was done to the sensors or vehicle.
When I installed the wheels on the car 2 weeks later, the sensors were automatically detected and everything works fine.

Some aftermarket sensors from companies such as Autel have the capability to use a generic sensor and configure it to meet specific car manufacturer needs, but that is covered by the programming tool that the sensor vendor uses. Should be plug-and-play for all BMWs and many other manufacturers, when using the generic sensors.
