PSA: Wiper Blades for G42

If you don't want to pay $100 for OEM, you can get

BOSCH 3397118929

They fit and work great.

I had read where the OEMs are Valeo, but Bosch might also be an OEM supplier.

Thanks for posting up the part number for the Bosch wipers. I'm about due and this helps a bunch. If I have the choice between Bosch and Valeo, I'm going to go with Bosch.

I checked mine today. They've got some coding on them, but no manufacturers branding. I'll be happy to order the Bosch wipers.

Bosch Icon all the way for this guy! Matter of preference of course, but I tried just about every brand over the years and I like these the best for longevity, performance and value. I just replaced mine last week. Ordered on Amazon for less than $50 including taxes.

If you need part numbers, here ya go:

BOSCH 22OE ICON Premium Beam Wiper Blade; 22" - Single
BOSCH 18OE ICON Premium Beam Wiper Blade; 18" - Single

Cheers

The adapter comes with all brands nowadays. Definitely don't have to buy OEMs that's for sure, and I would highly doubt buying OEM has any benefit for wipers!

I just recently replaced my originals with Trico Onyx's 26-240 and 26-190.

I went with Bosch Icon myself and I am much happier with their performance than the OEM. In fact, the OEM are the worst factory blades I have had in years.

***NOTE***

The above part numbers are INCORRECT. They are also wrong on Bosch's website. I picked up the 22" and 18" months ago, both were too short compared to OEM. Our blades are 24" and 19". I confirm that BOSCH 24OE ICON and BOSCH 19OE ICON are the correct blades for the G42.

Performance has been great the last few months since install, although fitting them to the wiper arms was not as easy as it should have been. A little finicky, but they've stayed attached since. I will know more when I have to replace these, how easily they come off.

Yeah, def love these wipers like no other. I am not debating about your comment on the 24" and 19" being the correct size. I was following Bosch and Amazon's fitment specs for our cars. But I can say that 22" and 18" works perfectly well on the car with no dead zones. Having said that, if 24" and 19" work better then why not.

I didn't have any issues with fitting these on. The OEM were more of a pain to remove, but Bosch went on in a snap. Same for my wife's Lexus RX350.

It's odd that according to Amazon the 24" & 19" Bosch Icon blades do not fit the G42. Good to know this is incorrect.

Yeah, I’m willing to bet that Amazon uses Bosch’s specs and as Littlecoupe above pointed out, Bosch is wrong themselves. Side note, I prefer ICON to Aerotwin by Bosch. A little more $ but why not get the best?

fyi pelican parts has bosch and valeo for about 30-40$ a pair, and theyre 24 and 19. i ordered both from them months ago and just checked to confirm the sizes were correct. phew!

also, i find amazon to not always have the best prices for car stuff. even some dealership websites, if you care to spend enough time, you can find some great deals and no tax and low shipping. each dealership parts websites prices are different, and their shipping cost is all different too so you can save quite a bit of cash going to a few difft bmw sites.

Probably because they would need to pay someone and get access to a G42 to physically validate it. "AI" can't fix this.

I installed my Bosch Icons today. They're the same as posted above. I ordered them through Amazon, but I think they were $42.32. The wipers installed just like OEM (no adapters needed). It was raining today, so I got a performance review right away. As B46driver noted, they work great.

Dumb question, I bought this but it seems that the connector is way different from the OEM to the supplied one.

Is there a way to swap the connectors or what am I missing?

Well, to all the assholes throwing around incorrect part numbers, thanks for wasting my time and $50

The product here DOES NOT FIT BOSCH 24A19A ICON Beam Wiper Blades - Driver and Passenger Side - Set of 2 Blades (24A & 19A)

I REPEAT DOES NOT FIT and the connector broke when I was messing with it so it cant be returned.

I see you have a 2025 and most of the posts were from guys on here for several years, so it might be different for your model. Just a thought.
