When he says "for the track you might be satisfied with the predecessor" is he referring to the M2 F87 maybe? Because the M240xi F22 was MUCH worse, when he felt understeer with this one, with the old one on the same corner at the same speed he would probably have died.

Great video...just makes me sad I can't do ED anymore. Enjoy it whilst you're stationed there and thanks for your service!

The amount of grip on the new one and the increased chassis rigidity compared to the F22 are immense, it's impossible not to notice. The old one was quite poor in corners with its tiny wheels. I still think he was referring to the M2 and not the F22, or perhaps not a stock F22. Or - more likely - he was simply driving a lot faster in the new one without realizing it, the G42 disguises speed very well (maybe too much), but if an F22 tries to keep up with a G42, after two corners and two braking sections it will end up against the wall. |

We plan to go back soon and visit the Apex team and hopefully we can get some hot laps in. Good to see a g42 240i driven properly and shows ho capable the car is. Got a few minor mods to complete just to sharpen it up a touch but loving the car so far. |

I just took my 2022 M240i with the performance tire package on a track day at Thompson Motor Speedway in CT. It's a 1.7-mile track, reasonably long straight (117mph) and a mix of turns. For a GT car, it performed very well. I was in Sport + with the safety system turned off. M Sport Brakes are impressive, I noticed some slight fade after around five laps. The car was relatively flat through the turns and pulled hard out of them. This was the fastest car in my Novice Group.
With this car, I have done a 2300-mile road trip, I drive over New England's bumpy roads daily, and it can do well on the track! The M240 is not a full M car, but for an allrounder, it's really impressive!! |

I just saw the videos with you and Misha. First off, kudos to the amazing job you did with the car. I noticed in the last video you put on an Alcantara steering wheel? Can you share the part #, I’d like to get one myself.

Unlikely that you will get a response - not only is this thread almost 2-1/2 years old, he hasn't posted anywhere on this forum since '22 as well.
