Rear Occupant Alert every time on shutdown
I took delivery of my 2025 M2 on 23-Sep-2024. Not sure when it started, but it was soon afterwards when I started getting the "Rear Occupant Alert" alert on every shutdown. It's an audible chime and the alert shown in the picture attachments.
The owner's manual describes the alert on page 101 and gives instructions on turning it on or off. Mine was off by default, and it's still OFF, but I continue to get the alert on each shutdown. See PDF attachment. I had an "encore" appointment with the BMW Genius at my dealership yesterday to go over any questions I had, give me tips, etc. He hadn't heard about this alert but is now looking into it. We checked the obvious: 1) nothing in the rear seats; and 2) rear seat belts unbuckled; 3) iDrive setting turned to OFF. I think my iDrive is 8.5. The installed software version is 07/2024.35. Anyone else getting this alert on a daily basis?

Definitely odd. I have my rear seat belts buckled at all times (hate the red seats on the display) & have never had the alert to check the rear seats.

Yes, I'm getting the alert too on my '25 M2, and I'm fairly sure I have the alert turned off in the settings, just like you do. Will confirm and post if I find differently.
I'll ask about this during my 1200 mile run-in service, unless you get it resolved first and can share what the fix was.
