Are changes allowed at 112?

My 230i has an order number and is at stage 112, scheduled for production but no vin. Are changes permitted at this stage? I want to add the HK audio.

It's possible IF it hasn't gotten a VIN. I would contact your salesperson ASAP or yesterday, whichever is quicker!

Thanks. I reached out to him.

Yes, changes are possible at Status 112, but time is running out till it flips to Status 150 (scheduled for production), at which time the configuration is locked in.

Mine says 'scheduled for production' but no VIN. I contacted my sales person to see if they can make changes. If not, that's fine. I have the essential options for me.

I was able to get the changes I wanted today thanks to my sales person. So I guess 'scheduled for production' without a VIN still allows one to modify the order.

Dealers receive allocations with planned production weeks. 'Scheduled for production equates to Status 150, which is when a VIN is assigned. Your salesperson may have been a little loose with the phrase, such as "this car we've been allocated this month is scheduled for production the 3rd week of January" (meaning it's scheduled to complete production that week). That (150) occurs about 2 weeks before assembly begins; the assembly process normally takes a few days.

The dealer was able to modify an existing allocation with my preferred options. According to BMW's portal, my car was (and still is) at the stage of 'scheduled for production' without a VIN so they were able to make additional changes to the build today. Scheduled for production does not assign a VIN or take the car to 150 from my current experience.
